Tamiya 1:35 British Special Air Service Jeep is a plastic kit of the British desert jeep of the SAS in the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from the Japanese maker Tamiya captures the British light off-road vehicle as equipped by the special forces of the SAS. The model is richly fitted out with accessories such as jerrycans, which give the vehicle the character typical of long desert raids. Two figures are included to bring the scene to life and set it in the North African setting.
The Special Air Service was a British special unit founded in 1941 by the young officer David Stirling, which operated in the desert of North Africa. The light off-road vehicle was the main means of transport of the SAS: although it carried less than a truck, its excellent cross-country mobility made it ideally suited to fast raiding operations.
Finish and paint the open structure of the vehicle and the stowed equipment carefully, section by section, so that the detail stands out. Bring the desert finish to life with a fine dust wash and pigments. Paint the figures separately.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
