Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the German battleship Grosser Kurfürst of the First World War period in 1:350 scale from ICM. The ship was one of the four sister units of the Konig class of the Imperial German Navy. Depending on the version, the model can be built as a full-hull one on a stand as well as a waterline version, and it captures the characteristic silhouette with five gun turrets on the centerline. A decal sheet is in the box; the exact contents of the package and the parts count are not stated here.
The Konig class comprised four sister dreadnoughts armed with ten 30.5 cm guns in five twin turrets on the centerline. Grosser Kurfürst served with the 3rd Battle Squadron and took part in the Battle of Jutland in 1916, where she took several hits. During the war the ship had a busy career, including damage in collisions and a torpedo hit from a British submarine. After the war she was interned at Scapa Flow and in June 1919 was scuttled by her own crew; she was raised later.
Decide in advance on the full-hull or the waterline version. Paint the deck and the superstructures and pick them out before the final assembly, and glue the fine items, the yards and the masts carefully with cyanoacrylate. Unify the whole with a primer and spray with an airbrush in the period shades of German naval gray, pick the panel lines and the riveting out with a wash and add weathering in due measure.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
