An exhaust nozzle for the AMX Ghibli in 1:48 from Reskit refines the tail end of the fuselage of the Italian and Brazilian attack aircraft. An accessory for a plastic kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Reskit offers this part as a refinement of the tail end of the fuselage of a model of the AMX attack aircraft, that is of the type known in the Italian Air Force by the nickname Ghibli. The name covers the two-seat AMX-T variant as well. The package contains no airplane model; it is an accessory for a plastic kit under construction or already finished.
A single-engine attack aircraft has its exhaust outlet right on the axis of the tail section, so the eye concentrates on it from every angle behind. Injection-molded plastic handles this area with a compromise: the wall of the nozzle tends to be thick and the inner cone only suggested. A replacement part can solve both better, because it is cast or printed as a separate piece regardless of the parting line of the kit.
The AMX came out of a joint Italian and Brazilian program as a subsonic aircraft for close support of ground troops, reconnaissance and attacks on targets at low altitude. It is powered by a single turbojet and its armament hangs on underwing and fuselage stations. The two-seat AMX-T serves for training as well as for combat tasks where a second crew member comes in useful.
The part will please a modeler who builds the AMX with an emphasis on the silhouette of the rear end.
