Lowered landing flaps in resin for a model of the Panavia Tornado in 1:72 scale. An accessory for building the aircraft with the wing high-lift devices open.
Responsibility details are not available.
Replacement parts for the trailing edge of the wing cast in resin for a model of the Panavia Tornado combat aircraft in 1:72 scale. They allow the aircraft to be built as it looks on the ground or in slow flight: with the wing in the forward position and the high-lift devices out. The set does not replace a kit, it adds to one; the product name assigns it to the Revell kit.
The Tornado came about in the 1970s as a joint venture of Great Britain, Germany and Italy. Its key feature is a variable-geometry wing: swept back for a fast run-in at low altitude, spread forward for takeoff and landing. The basic strike version carried a wide range of armament, a further version specialized in suppression of air defenses and the British branch came about as an interceptor. The type took part in conflicts in the Persian Gulf, in the Balkans and over Libya, and it also flew with the Royal Saudi Air Force.
Before building, leave the castings for a while in a warm bath with a little dish soap. Take the remains of the gates down in small steps and keep trying the fit dry. The brittle material does not take cold bending; thin parts can be straightened with a brief dip in hot water. They are bonded with cyanoacrylate and painted only after the surface has been primed.
In the package you will find cast parts only; the kit itself, the shades and the glue have to be obtained separately.
