Plastic kit of the German destroyer Z-7 in 1:700 scale, representing her as she was in 1942.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Z-7 was one of the German destroyers built in the 1930s, that is, one of the slim, fast ships meant to escort formations, to make torpedo attacks and to carry out patrol duty. The designation Z-7 was carried by the destroyer Hermann Schoemann. Characteristic of this group of ships is a long bow, a tall forecastle and gun armament arranged along the centerline, so that even in a small scale the model looks slim and predatory.
It is a plastic kit in 1:700 scale, the most widely used scale for warships, because in it even a larger vessel stays a sensible size and a whole formation can be built. The year in the name refers to the period configuration in which the model is rendered. The parts count, the scope of the superstructures and the contents of the decal sheet are given in the instructions enclosed in the box.
The kit will please collectors of naval subjects as well as modelers who want to build a whole formation on one base and do not have meters of display space. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; paints, glue and a display base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
